The Shimshaws are brothers Todd McCombs (vocals, organ, piano, xylophone) and Scott McCombs (vocals, guitar, bass, studio geek). They have been singing, playing, writing and recording together for 20+ years and have spent time playing in bands together and apart. Todd and Scott wrote all of the songs on Everything Always, their latest collection of hooky, rocked-up goodness. In the age of iTunes and short attention spans, The Shimshaws still believe in the “album” format -- and since they are not beholden to a record label, they write and record until they are satisfied with the end product -- we think you will be too.

Additional musicians on Everything Always include Kevin Lehman (drums), Tony Asnicar (lead guitar), Jody Rodney (harmony vocals on Different Places, Hollywood, Sideways and Pick of the Litter ), Aaron Youngberg (pedal steel Hollywood and Mountainside) and Kent Lehman (guitar textures on Hold Your Breath and Hollywood ). Basic tracks were recorded at Colorado Sound Studios in Denver, CO with engineer J.P. Manza. Overdubs were done at TMK Studios in Highlands Ranch, CO. Mixing and mastering were done by J.P. Manza at Colorado Sound. Please give it a listen and remember to turn it up!
